May is 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 💚 There Is no better time to recognize what the mission of BDF is and the impact it is capable of. 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘛𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘜𝘴: this starts with our WWII heroes. Taking them on program to provide them honor, gratitude, and camaraderie and often giving them the final closure they need. Along side them, many of our volunteers are veterans of different generations, giving them a new mission to care for those who paved the way. Helping them transition from active duty to civilian life, or providing them missed camaraderie or sense of purpose. The BDF family, as we like to call it, has each others ‘sixes’ and always comes together to support one another in any way during times of struggle or hardship.
