Update on the Fort Pack🐕🦴🐾 Bobbie and Auburn are doing well. Bobbie has her mood swings, but it isn't nearly as bad since the week of full-day downpours have stopped. I think she's generally happy in her new home. I'm sure she would prefer if her humans lived with her but at least here she has the freedom to roam. She used to bark for us to come to her when she was recovering in our back yard and the first night at the Fort I could hear her barking from the house. She's definitely OK now. She's settled. Auburn is still an extremely happy dog. She's gained confidence since we added Bobbie. She's finally learned that walking next to me instead of between my legs or on my heels makes me happier. She sits so perfectly for treats and learns really quickly. She still has loads of energy, but I think since she's been more confident to roam, she's been burning some off. We were finally able to drop off Mamadog yesterday. She was spayed nearly two weeks ago. Because the vet felt she needed non-disolving stitches (she had too much flabby skin), she had to stay until they were removed. I couldn't guarantee I could find her again to bring her in to have them removed. Well, she's free again. She is extremely happy! She had such a bad flea rash causing her to itch, that her skin is still healing a lot of sores so it'll take time for her to stop being itchy. Well, don't know if she will stick around. Don't know if she will go find her pack mates and bring them back to the Fort with her. I've set up a new second feeding spot so that she wouldn't have to push her way into Bobbie and Auburn's feeding area. I guess we will see if she's there this morning.
