Taylor Bayou Conservancy The Taylor Bayou Conservancy was given its name for its dedication to protecting and preserving woodlands wetlands and wildlife in the Taylor Bayou Watershed. In La Porte Texas the beginning of Taylor Bayou lies less than one mile from the beautiful Galveston Bay and is in an industrial area along Texas State Highway 146 between the Houston Ship Channel and the Houston Bayport Channel. Flowing southward from La Porte Taylor Bayou winds its way through the cities of Shoreacres Pasadena El Lago Taylor Lake Village and Seabrook. Along its path it forms Taylor Lake before its outflow into Clear Lake which then flows into Galveston Bay.
