To reflect on the meaning of Memorial Day, our Vermilion Day Program explored the importance of honoring those who served. They visited the Boy Scouts of America office to respectfully retire a worn American flag, created patriotic crafts, and delivered thoughtful gifts to veterans in our community including former Arc President Edward Marshall and National Guard veteran Rodney Trahan. It is such a blessing to have the support of leaders who know our communities and understand the value of the services we provide. Last week, we had the privilege of meeting with Governor Jeff Landry, First Lady Sharon Landry, Commissioner Taylor Barras, and Representative Beau Beaullieu at the Sliman Center in New Iberia to discuss the progress being made in Louisiana and its impact on the individuals we serve.
