Joey Edwards tragically passed away in an accident on October 13, 2018. Following his death, his parents, Dan and Marina Edwards, received numerous testimonials about Joey's acts of kindness from friends, teachers, and even strangers. Inspired by these stories, they founded the Kind Like Joey Foundation to honor his memory and continue his legacy of kindness.
Mission
The foundation's mission is multifaceted:
- Spreading Kindness: It encourages and supports random acts of kindness, fostering a culture of empathy and compassion within communities.
- Financial Support: The organization provides financial assistance to families in the Greater Philadelphia Region who have experienced the sudden loss of a school-aged child.
