A community based 501(c)(3) providing comprehensive HIV/AIDS Service, Prevention & Screening, LGBTQ+, IDU and Hep C services in Central MA. AIDS Project Worcester is a nonprofit organization that uses advocacy, education and collaborative initiatives to enhance the lives and health of people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and other sexually transmitted infections. AIDS PROJECT WORCESTER IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION IN CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS DEDICATED TO ENDING THE HIV/AIDS PANDEMIC AND FOSTERING WELLNESS THROUGH SERVICE, ADVOCACY, PREVENTION, EDUCATION, AND COLLABORATIVE INITIATIVES. WE EMPOWER AND ENHANCE THE LIVES OF PEOPLE INFECTED AND AFFECTED BY HIV/AIDS BY FIGHTING STIGMA AND DISCRIMINATION AND THROUGH INDIVIDUALIZED SERVICES AND BEST PRACTICES IN A SUPPORTIVE, MULTICULTURAL SETTING.

Ive got nothing but good things to say about APW theyve done nothing but looked out for me. Bonita Long term client Our Story AIDS Project Worcester APW started in 1987 during the early to mid80s residents of the city of Worcester and its surrounding suburbs began to be infected with Human Immunodeficiency Virus HIV in increasing numbers. With few governmentor community services available at the time those early individuals and families found comfort and support particularly in Pakachoag Community Church in Auburn MA. As the numbers grew through the mid80s the complexity of needs expanded.
