The Bethany Land Institute molds farmers into changemakers who transform their communities and heal their land. BLI is based in Luweero, Uganda. BLI was born in response to three challenges: food insecurity, ecological degradation and poverty in the rural communities of Uganda. Our mission is to form leaders who will serve as catalysts for rural transformation through an integrated education program in regenerative land care, economic empowerment and environmental leadership. Bethany Land Institute represents a new model: an integrated approach to fight poverty, restore dignity and care for creation. Our goal is to inspire similar models that can revitalize rural livelihoods in Uganda.
