Coastal Bend Audubon Society Welcome to the Coastal Bend Audubon Society. The Coastal Bend of Texas has one of the most diverse and abundant bird populations in North America. Situated next to the largest hypersaline lagoon and longest stretch of undeveloped barrier island on earth it is a unique area where tropical meets subtropical sea meets semiarid land and two major flyways converge. The Coastal Bend Audubon Society is committed to conserving protecting and promoting the wildlife and habitat of our remarkable little corner of Texas.
