Birthday Smiles for Kids
Birthday Smiles For Kids is a non profit organization dedicated to brighten the lives of Washtenaw County youth on their birthday. We provide gifts, cake and ice cream to kids who would go without because their family can not afford this simple luxury. We believe every child deserves a birthday celebration with gifts and cake. We work with Washtenaw County social service agencies, homeless shelters and schools to identify youth and families who are unable to purchase these on their own. We are unique in that our gifts try to match a child's interest and wishes and are not generic. We aim to give a child something they want, something to do, something to read and something to hug. We also include a small gift for other children in the household so no one feels left out. We serve youth ages 1 - 18.
