Our work day tomorrow, May 24th, begins at 9am but if you want to come earlier to beat the heat, you are always welcome. Everything needs a drink of water since it has been so hot and dry and of course, weeding is always welcomed. Look forward to seeing you all in the garden. (fb)
If you are interested in Food Forests, the Alabama Sustainable Agriculture Network/CRAFT Network will be hosting a session on "How to Start a Food Forest" at our farm, Jubilee Promise in Deer Park/Vinegar Bend on Sunday, May 18th from 1pm - 4pm. The address if 196 Earl Wood Road. Besides showing our food forest areas on the farm, we will share some of the food forests in our community garden network here in Mobile. Who we are MUG is a network of community gardeners and urban farmers committed to growing and maintaining gardens in and around Mobile Alabama and to increasing access to fresh produce for everyone. We pool our resources knowledge and labor to make this vision a reality. There are over 20 gardens and farms in MUGs network.
