THE SPORT OF EQUESTRIAN ASSISTS YOUNG INDIVIDUALS IN DEVELOPING KEY CHARACTER TRAITS FOR SUCCESS, INCLUDING RESPONSIBILITY, ACCOUNTABILITY, DETERMINATION, SPORTSMANSHIP AND HUMILITY WHILE OFFERING AN OUTLET FOR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY. THE COSTS OF PROPER CARE AND UPKEEP OF HORSES, ALONG WITH THE EXPENSE OF LESSONS, EQUIPMENT AND COMPETITIONS CAN BE QUITE EXTENSIVE. THE FOUNDATION HOPES TO ELIMINATE THE FINANCIAL BARRIER TO RIDERSHIP FOR QUALIFIED YOUNG RIDERS PRIMARILY LOCATED IN THE NORTHEASTERN REGION OF THE UNITED STATES BY MAKING GRANTS TO ALLOW RIDERS WITH FINANCIAL NEED TO CONTINUE TO RIDE AND PERSUE THEIR DREAM.
