Are you ready for a sweet story? 🍋 Tessa, a student at McNicholas High School and a proud member of their Magnified Giving club, was recently given a meaningful task: to find an organization worthy of a grant. For Tessa, the choice was clear—and deeply personal. She immediately thought of her neighbor and friend, Grant. You may remember Grant as the brave young man who survived a devastating house fire in July of 2022. The fire left him in the ICU and his family of seven without a home. In the difficult months and years that followed, Grant and his family received help from our organization. Tessa saw this as her opportunity to give back. 💛 She proposed the idea of supporting Payton’s Lemonade Stand. Her group quickly got on board. Together, they spent months researching, preparing, and crafting a heartfelt presentation. And when it came time for the school-wide vote? Their project was chosen—and they won the grant! 🎉 With these funds, we plan to support other children like Grant. But, what we love most about this story is how both Tessa and Grant turned tragedy into something beautiful. Tessa’s passion for philanthropy grew stronger, and Grant now hosts an annual lemonade stand in partnership with the Norwood Fire Department, the heroes who saved his life. 🍋 A huge thank you to Tessa, Annabel, and Olivia for their compassion, dedication, and hard work.
