Our outreach team got to enjoy some downtown fun and share a planting activity during a recent outreach event at The Spirit of Detroit 2. Farmer Em moving along with tomato trellising inside our hoophouse 3. Rosebud, along with some of our all-star volunteers, planting corn sister in the three Sisters mounds 4-5. Field planting continues with intercropping of tomatoes and onions 6. Danielle and Rosebud took a pause to add more seeds and transplants to the Family Foodways garden - three Sisters Filipino style 7. The KGD is bursting with life in all kinds of ways - the newest baby birds hatched 8-10. Grown In Detroit site visits - featuring Riopelle Street Farm and Urban Bush Sistahs.
