Gibson Family Charity
The Gibson Family Charity (GFC) was founded out of the LOVE and commitment for family and friends suffering with the Sickle Cell Anemia (SCD) disease. Through their journey they began to see the need for education and changed Health Care Legislation. One look in his eyes, shares all the hope and desires that this world has to offer; however, in 2015, a family sat in prayer waiting for those eyes to open again. Due to the lack of medical education of SCD, medical staff personnel administered a near lethal dose of morphine. I wish I could tell you that this is uncommon, it’s not people that live with SCD suffer mis-diagnosis and painful hospital experiences daily.
