As we continue our recognition of California Arts, Culture, & Creativity Month, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to California for the Arts for their invaluable contributions in highlighting the importance of the arts for health and culture for healing. Today is World Health Day, and the arts' benefits for mental and physical health should never go unappreciated. According to the World Health Organization, art can help us emotionally navigate the journey of battling an illness or injury. For instance, painting or drawing can provide a therapeutic outlet for expressing difficult emotions. Similarly, music can be a comforting companion during times of emergency and challenging events.
