DASH - Dallas Area Society of Historians DASH Dallas Area Society of Historians Where North Texas Historians meet Welcome Founded in the 1980s by scholars from UTDallas SMU and UTArlington this organizationformerly known as the Dallas Area Social History Workshophas served Metroplex academic historians as a forum for sharing worksinprogress keeping abreast of new trends in history creating professional networks and making friends for almost four decades. As of 2024 we claim members at institutions from across North Texas and even in Louisiana and Oklahoma at all levels of academia as well as grad students and independent scholars and specializing in any number of fields including European African Transatlantic Latin American and U. S. history.
