The American Diary Project was founded in October of 2022 with one simple vision: Rescue diaries and preserve the writing of everyday Americans. Our mission is to honor the diversity and depth of the human experience by providing a freeand accessiblepublic resource that preserves, archives, and digitizes handwritten diaries and journals from everyday Americans.
