Kittitas County Railroad History Association
A 7 1/2" gauge (1/8th scale) free-riding railroad will be built in a city park on 7 acres, inspired by local railroad history from 1884 to 1965. The project will feature 1/8 scale buildings at each town, including depots, water tanks, hotels, a sawmill, coal facility, potato docks, mercantile, and stockyards, all historically accurate with photos for comparison. Youth will operate the railroad in various roles, with donations supporting the local food bank. A freight train, operated by local youth, will switch cars with historical industries, while passenger trains will offer families an unforgettable adventure back in time.
