On Tuesday, March 18th, CMCB faculty and staff gathered for a special event showcasing our own musicianship as part of our John Kleshinski Concert Series, curated by CMCB Piano and Theory Instructor, Manuel García-Baró. 🎼 The concert was fun-filled and heartwarming, with several world premiere compositions and a wide variety of genres from New Music to Pop! For many of the performers, this was our first time making music together even though we work together every day. This was a cherished evening for everyone involved, and we are so grateful that we were able to share this with all of our CMCB community members in attendance. Happy April! 🌻 We've got some exciting events lined up, and we hope you'll join us! On April 12, we'll be celebrating all of our Lapin Competition winners and participants with a recital in Allen Hall, and a reception to follow. The Lapin Competition, named in honor of former CMCB Executive Director David Lapin, shines a spotlight on our solo students as their share their progress and passion 🎵 On April 17, CMCB welcomes local leaders from arts organizations ProjectSTEP, ZUMIX, and Castle of our Skins to partake in a panel discussion with CMCB about our innovative new Student Pathways program, and to learn more about their personal journeys and career experiences that align with each of these musical pathways.
