Susan Fong Polizzotto, Theta Kappa, University of Southern California celebrates AAPI Heritage Month by honoring a journey of resilience and service through her commitment to Sigma Kappa. “I celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month as a reflection of resilience, growth, and gratitude. As a first-generation college graduate, my journey was one of perseverance—learning to become a leader was a process that required courage, adaptability, and a commitment to uplifting others. Earlier this year, I was honored as a “Women of Dedication” by the Salvation Army Women Auxiliary who select 12 women in San Diego each year to recognize the contribution they have made to their community. As a recognition of my contributions as a volunteer leader over the past 30 years, I discovered my deep passion for supporting education and empowering young women, helping them navigate their own paths to success. I am grateful for the incredible organizations I’ve worked with that have allowed me to grow my leadership skills and serve my community in meaningful ways.
