There has been a gross ecological overshoot and the global economy has crossed the limit. This means that we are using up the Earth’s resources faster than they can replenish themselves. We believe that degrowth is the transition towards a just, participatory, and ecologically sustainable society. Degrowth is the downsizing of production and consumption to positively impact ecological conditions. Degrowth strategies may be used to improve the quality of life for all humanity.
