This is Dusk, he has had a tough time, and it clearly shows in his personality. 😔 He was returned to us last October after being in his home for over 3 years. His owners were a couple, they adopted 2 kittens, and when they broke up, neither of them wanted him. They were moving after their split and surrendered him back to us. When he came in, he was fearful and confused. Our team has been working to help him trust people again and while there has been some improvement, his behavior issues are persistent. We think he might have been abused physically, because he truly wants to be friendly, he allows us to pet him and leans into us, but always randomly reacts and tries to bite. 😬 The people who had him last really broke his trust with humans. We’ve tried every supplement to help calm him, but nothing has worked. At this point, we’re not sure how to proceed. He definitely deserves a home, but it would need to be with someone who can be patient with him and can help him heal those invisible wounds. We don’t think it’s a good idea for him to be in a home with children. He seems to do well with other animals.
