Mustang and Wild Horse Rescue of Georgia

Founded in 2006, MWHR is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing a program for wild horses captured by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) wild horse roundups. Once taken in by MWHR, our goal is to rehabilitate and train the horses so they can successfully be rehomed. In the event that a mustang taken in by MHWR is unable to be rehomed, they stay with our organization as part of our sanctuary herd at the MWHR farm. Our rescue farm is located in the Alpharetta, GA area.

Locatedin the Canton area MWHR is a local organization founded in 2002 by David Hesse. After his first trip to the high desert country in California David learned how to gentle a wild mustang and developed a passion to preserve them. He went on to open a training center to teach new mustang adopters how to safely gentle their wild horses.
