Blood Bank of Hawaii is proud to congratulate the first ever graduating class of students of our Phlebotomy Training Program! BBH partnered with Farrington High School Spring 2025 to create a new and innovative phlebotomy training program, the first of its kind in the nation, and these 14 students completed the program while attending their senior year of high school. Our students were hired and paid as BBH trainee employees during their term. The program, modeled after physician residency programs, gives young people the opportunity to get hands-on training earlier than they would with a post-high school program. It is also designed to provide a career pathway to students who may not want to go to college immediately or at all. “Congratulations to the graduating students, from all of us at Blood Bank of Hawaii.
