SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER CHARITIES

Seattle Post-Intelligencer Charities' Readers Care Fund program provides funds to selected Seattle-area 501(c)(3) organizations that assist children, teens, young adults and families in need. The assistance includes providing shelter for homeless families with children, giving children a safe haven to gain necessary academic and social skills, and assisting families and children affected by HIV/AIDs. The money also provides academic advice and scholarships for homeless and low income youth and provides support to disadvantaged parents by funding daycare, parenting classes, counseling and basic necessities like winter coats for their children.
