The purpose of the Corporation shall be to provide financial assistance to residents of Marblehead or graduates of Marblehead High School in their pursuit of educational opportunities on a fair, equitable and non-discriminatory basis without regard to race, color, creed, sex or age.

Marblehead Dollars for Scholars 2024 MDFS Annual MeetingAt its annual meeting this fall Marblehead Dollars for Scholars presented George Gearhart with the Peterson Award named in honor of the organizations founders Sue and Nils Peterson. The award recognizes outstanding service to the nonprofit which provides financial needbased scholarships to Marblehead students pursuing a college education. Over many years Gearhart has served as the organizations treasurer and as a member of the advanced standing scholarship committee. He received a golden cod in recognition of his important contributions.
