In response to housing needs in our communities, the mission of the Partnership for Housing Affordability is to champion policies, developments, and programs for quality affordable housing in the Richmond region.

Our Mission Launched the Richmond Regional Housing Framework in 2020 a solutionsoriented housing strategy that outlines Richmonds most pressing needs. 10 solutions from the Framework have been enacted or are in progress across the region. The creation of the Housing Resource Line HRL a navigation service that enables neighbors to gain information on existing housing resources.

Partnership for Housing Affordability
Great news for housing in our region. With funding support from Virginia Housing, PlanRVA and the Partnership for Housing Affordability have awarded nine new projects that will build 169 new affordable homes in the Richmond region. These homes will serve families earning 30โ80% of the area median incomeโproviding opportunities for stability and growth in neighborhoods across our region.

PHA is honored to have partnered in last yearโs housing & education research effort and event, Live & Learn. The University of Richmond launched an interactive website this summer revealing the connections between housing segregation, zoning, and educational inequity in Richmondโs surrounding localities. Our Policy Director, Woody Rogers, contributed data and policy insight to this collaborationโhelping bridge community, housing, and education conversations.
