Black Brand was co-founded by Blair Durham and her husband, Bashiri Durham, stemming from a grassroots initiative called Everyday Activism to address social issues affecting the Black community. The first organizational meeting took place in 2016 at the Slover Library in Norfolk, Virginia[3].
