This Pride Month, we honor the legacy of resistance, resilience, and joy that lives at the heart of queer communities. Pride began as a protest, led by Black and Brown trans women, and today, we carry their spirit forward by continuing to fight for liberation, equity, and belonging. At IDEA Hastings we uplift and celebrate the beautiful intersections of identity where queerness meets Blackness, Brownness, Indigeneity, and the richness of our cultures. Our communities have always been powerful, creative, and revolutionary, even in the face of oppression. Pride is not just a celebration it’s a call to action.
