The Evansville P-47 Foundation's mission is to bring home a Republic P-47 Thunderbolt to it's birthplace...Evansville, Indiana. Our sights are set on the Tarheel Hal, one of those most famous P-47's still in existence. THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS THE ACQUISITION, MAINTENANCE, OWNERSHIP, AND DISPLAY OF WARTIME PLANES AND EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WORLD WAR II AIRCRAFT SUCH AS A P-47 FOR EDUCATIONAL AND MUSEUM PURPOSES.
