Border Horse Slaughter Rescue
Horse rescue and rehabilitation Border Horse Slaughter Rescue has saved over 10,000 equines out of the slaughter pipeline to date which is a massive achievement made only possible by the dedication and true grit determination of its founder Kendra Nelson. The charity strives to rescue and re-home as many equines as possible from the kill pens and auction houses and also works with other rescues and charities across several states with the same high standards of welfare and ethos. Many horses have medical needs and BHSR ensures these cases are given priority to ease their suffering which ensures the best possible outcome for the horse and their future. Until a more humane solution to unwanted equines has been established BHSR will continue in its mission to save lives that matter to give them another chance of life.

The severe neglect case has arrived at Outlaw today I was told I needed to give him a name. I hate that question because I don’t get time to think Samson popped up in my brain immediately I don’t know why… they have evaluated him. He needs to have surgery tomorrow morning.
