The Fund for Lake Michigan supports efforts that enhance the health of Lake Michigan, its shoreline and tributary river systems, and its communities. Lake Michigan is one of Wisconsin's greatest assets, and its water is critical to the state's future. The Fund for Lake Michigan is here to help sustain the Lake on behalf of the people and places that depend on it. Our goal is to have a deep, positive impact on the health of Lake Michigan and on the communities of Wisconsin, now and into the future.

Home - Fund For Lake Michigan Ten Years of the Fund A decade is like the blink of an eye in the millionyear lifespan of a Great Lake but as the Fund for Lake Michigan marks its 10year anniversary its clear just how much can change in such a short span of time. The Fund is celebrating its tenyear anniversary and were looking back on a decade of success stories and community partners. Project Highlights PropertyValues Increase SwimmingBeaches Restored Wetlands Acres Restored EconomicDevelopment Jobs Created Grantees Then and Now Westlawn Gardens at Ten A decade ago Westlawn a 75acre public housing development in Milwaukees Lincoln Creek Watershed was ripe for improvement. A combination of public and private funding launched an ambitious community planning process overseen by the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee HACM layingthe groundwork for what would be an awardwinning sustainable development and the highest LEEDrated neighborhood project in the world.
