FOOTHILLS ACADEMY IS LOCATED ON OVER 50 ACRES IN ALBANY, KENTUCKY. FOOTHILLS ACADEMY IS A PICTURESQUE SETTING OF ROLLING HILLS AND BEAUTIFUL TREE LINE LANDSCAPE. THE ACADEMY IS LICENSED FOR 132 RESIDENTS. AT THE FACILITY, 13-18 YEAR OLD CHILDREN RECEIVE MANY THERAPEUTIC OPPORTUNITIES. RESIDENTS RECEIVE INDIVIDUAL, GROUP, AND FAMILY COUNSELING. THEY ARE ACTIVE IN DRUG AND ALCOHOL COUNSELING AND DANGER AND BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT. IT IS FOOTHILLS ACADEMY'S BELIEF THAT EVERYONE, INCLUDING COUNSELORS, LINE STAFF, ETC. ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR HELPING THESE YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN TURN THEIR LIVES AROUND. FOOTHILLS ACADEMY ALSO BELIEVES IN INSTILLING A SENSE OF PRIDE IN THEIR CLIENTS BY TEACHING YOUNG MEN INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS.
