VDN is a contemplative community in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Founded with the blessing and patronage of His Holiness Chetsang Rinpoche, it is dedicated to prayers for the welfare of all sentient beings. VDN is primarily a community of nuns, established for the purpose of providing food, housing and a suitable religious environment for those nuns. It is also a place of religious training and practice for a lay congregation, women and men, old and young in the tradition of the Drikung Kagyu lineage.

Vajra Dakini Nunnery Drikung Kagyu Lineage Peace Practice Service Home Vajra DakiniTransformative Practices for Living in a World of Change and Uncertainty Our inherent altruism inspires a search for a life of compassion and clarity. Meditation provides a path to peace of mind independent of outer conditions. 2600 years ago Buddha Shakyamuni introduced a path of meditation in order to transform the root of suffering and experience our interconnectedness with all beings. This tradition continues with Vajra Dakini unbroken through the Drikung Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.
