Home | Streetside Library Welcome to Streetside Library. We are a New Orleansbased nonprofit started by an educator and a social worker who are passionate about improving literacy. We aim to close the literacy gap in our city by bringing great books to kids and adults in the New Orleans area. Our Mission Youth in unstable living settings in lowerincome areas and attending lowerperforming schools often have limited access to books and do not read at their grade level.
