EVTA is so grateful for Julian Charles and Joe Mickey for bringing the Jandy Ammon’s Wildflower Meadow back to life on the E&A Rail Trail. See the Monarch caterpillar that Joe spotted this morning on one of the milkweed plants grown from seeds they planted. When the flowers are in bloom, it should be a sanctuary for bees and butterflies. Thanks to these two champions for promoting not only the beauty of wildflowers but the haven for butterflies and bees to thrive. A reminder as flowers begin to bloom…do not pick or dig flowers. They are for the enjoyment of all, especially our 6 legged friends! (fb)

Be on the lookout and take home one of these great souvenirs from NC Trail Days 2025. Thank you, Foothills Quilters! Be sure to visit their show at the Heritage and Trails Center during NCTD.
