Double M Ranch Inc. is a Non-Profit, 501c3, support/ Therapy Ranch for veterans and Animal Rescue. Improving the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our Veterans. ASupport Therapy Ranch for US Military VeteransOur mission is to teach living skills, for Veterans to handle civilian life and work skills by means of training on ranch using agriculture, plants, animals, animal rescue, crafts, gardening, wood working and other programs and/or partnering with a company.Veterans make up 12% of the adult homeless population.70% of homeless veterans suffer from substance abuse, while 50% experience mental health issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which makes it harder to maintain relationships and hold down a jobWest Virginia has one of the largest veterans populations in the country175,000+-member community of former military men and womenMany veterans are in poverty, homeless, home bound - due to their disabilities/PTSD, and overlooked by society. About 22 veterans take their lives everyday. Without special treatment/help (unconventional), giving opportunities to learn to integrate into society, give ability to learn new job skills veterans remain helpless and loss of hope.Social change involves a collective action of individuals who are closest to the social problems to develop solutions that address social issues.D is a Social services organized efforts and/or services that help to improve and help advance social well being . Providing meals, shelter, food, clothing, programs for Veterans, to help overcome PTSD, disability services and others services. To provide a wide variety of services that promote the well being of Veterans.
