Join us opening weekend—Sat, April 5 & Sun, April 6—for RE-FRAMING 95 at the Greenwich Historical Society, created in collaboration with Untapped New York. 🖼️ Take a guided walking tour through the Historical Society’s campus and the Cos Cob waterfront and explore how I-95 can be seen as art through large-scale golden art frames. ✨Also enjoy a tour of the National Historic Landmark Bush-Holley House and see the view once painted by artist Elmer MacRae, this time with modern-day I-95 framed through the porch’s view. 🎨 Inside, see a Cos Cob Art Colony Impressionist exhibition and see how the art has been reimagined by Untapped New York’s artist-in-residence Aaron Asis, as if I-95 existed in the 1890s to 1920s. 🖌️ Children, make your own framed vision of I-95 and share your perspective with us! Guided walking tours Saturday, April 5, and Sunday, April 6, at 12, 1, 2 and 3 p.m. Register today at https://www.greenwichhistory.org . . . #greenwichhistoricalsociety #untappednewyork #reframing95 #rediscovergreenwich #greenwichct #artcomestolife #history (fb)

We're "Re-Framing 95" and making history come alive! Around the campus of the Greenwich Historical Society you will find some golden frames, each creating a perspective to highlight I-95 in one direction and a view back towards the historic campus in the other. We invite you to go out and find all of the frames and frame I-95 for yourself! When you locate them, think like an artist (if you aren’t one already). How could you make the presence of I-95 into something worthy of being called art? Join us Saturday, April 5, and Sunday, April 6, as we launch Re-Framing 95, an interactive art exhibition, guided walking tours and a temporary exhibition showcasing a selection of impressionist paintings created by the Cos Cob Art Colony artists that incorporate the immediate landscape around the Bush-Holley House.
