33,000-Acre Sanctuary Rescuing Exotic Wildlife and Endangered Species Since 1980. Follow us for stories, videos and photos of over 700 Large Carnivores. Saving one animal may not change the world But surely for that one animal The world will change Forever! The purpose and goals of The Wild Animal Sanctuary-TEXAS (TWAS-TEXAS) (formerly IEAS) are to provide a permanent sanctuary for exotic animals that have been abused, abandoned, neglected, confiscated, or previously owned by people unwilling or unable to provide for these magnificent beings. Additionally, TWAS-TEXAS educates the public through school programs, tour lectures, support for conservation programs, and public appearances.
