The mission of the Laguna Beach Community Clinic is to provide excellent medical care regardless of the patient’s ability to pay. The patients we serve are at risk of foregoing early medical care of conditions, which would negatively affect their morbidity rates and also burden the healthcare system in the long run. Their needs to access healthcare include finding: · A registered Medi-Cal provider. Families enrolled under the Affordable Care Act are challenged to find a provider that accepts Medi-Cal. · A provider which accepts all uninsured patients without restriction. Those who don’t qualify for government subsidized insurance or choose to opt-out may be turned away from medical providers that cap the number of uninsured patients or visits. 55% of LBCC patients do not have health insurance. · Care that is accessible linguistically and geographically. · High quality care. LBCC meets each of the patient needs discussed above. We accept families with Medi-Cal health insurance. The clinic also accepts patients without insurance. Patient payments are based on a sliding fee scale and ability to pay; for those who cannot pay, LBCC covers the entire visit cost. Inviting patients to pay what they can afford preserves dignity; affordable care helps patients access care consistently. We have several providers who are bi-lingual and speak Spanish fluently. LBCC is the only clinic in south Orange County to offer the full range of primary care, weekend hours, and walk-in availability.
