Empowering workers and communities to achieve fair treatment in the workplace, in the justice system, and in our shared society regardless of immigration status Empowering low-income families, workers and communities to achieve fair treatment in the workplace, in the justice system, and in our shared society The Equal Justice Center is an employment justice and civil rights organization which empowers low-income families, individuals and communities to achieve systemic reforms that improve their lives. To do this EJC uses combined strategies of legal rights advocacy, community organizing, technical assistance, and community-based coalition building. EJC provides the critical support and infrastructure that enables low-income working people to assert their rights, to organize, and to secure fair treatment in the workplace, in the justice system, and in the larger civil society.

As a nonprofit law firm the Equal Justice Center helps lowwage working people take legal action to recover their unpaid wages and remedy workplace discrimination. The EJC helps immigrant young people who have grown up in the U. S. gain freedom from deportation plus the ability to work and fully contribute to our communities.
