Climate Jobs New York (CJNY) is a growing coalition of labor unions representing 2.6 million working men and women at the center of New York’s economy. We are united around a shared goal of combating climate change while reversing income inequality. THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO ADVOCATE FOR SOLUTIONS THAT WILL REDUCE GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS, IMPROVE THE CLIMATE RESILIENCY OF COMMUNITIES, REVERSE INEQUALITY IN COMMUNITIES BY CREATING UNION JOBS IN THE GREEN/CLIMATE RESILIENCY INDUSTRY, PROMOTE AND BUILD STATEWIDE SUPPORT FOR LEGISLATIVE AND POLICY INITIATIVES THAT PROMOTE CLEAN ENERGY, CLIMATE RESILIENCY AND GREEN/CLIMATE UNION JOBS AND EDUCATE POLICYMAKERS, STAKEHOLDERS AND THE PUBLIC REGARDING THE CLIMATE AND RESILIENCY CRISES, RENEWABLE ENERGY AND THE BENEFITS OF A CLEAN ENERGY FUTURE.
