Paralyzed Veterans of America California Chapter

home - Paralyzed Veterans of America CA

The mission of the Paralyzed Veterans of America California Chapter is to make lives better for Paralyzed Veterans and their families across Southern California. PVACC provides funding for research on spinal cord injury and funds sporting activities and others to help the veteran become a productive member of society. Through our parent organization, we provide assistance with claims for medical benefits and provide a resource of information for both the veteran, his family and his healthcare providers through an advocacy program designed to assist the veteran with problems they encounter that require assistance.

The organization was founded by a band of service members who came home from World War II with a spinal cord injury. These service members returned to a grateful nation but also to a world with few solutions to the challenges they now faced.
