We are disheartened–but perhaps not surprised–to see that the number of new HIV diagnoses increased in 2024 compared to the previous year. Although the majority of new HIV infections were among cisgender men who have sex with men, trans women continue to be disproportionately affected. And this year, there was an 86% increase in new infections among cisgender women compared to the previous year.
