Our Mission The mission of The Music Academy Foundation is to make our community a performing arts and cultural hub on Long Island by providing valuable resources such as music lessons student bands and ensembles music therapy and a musical theatre program providing instruments to underserved schools funding educational outreach including scholarships and a precollege jazz program spearheading concert series and connecting students with worldclass musicians and educators. Our HISTORY The Music Academy Foundation MAF was founded by educator and double bassist Dr. Peter Coco in 2017. As a nonprofit organization MAF is dedicated to enriching our community and building a better world through the power of music and education.
