The Institute of Women and Ethnic Studies (IWES) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) community-based organization based in New Orleans, Louisiana founded in response to health disparities among women of color. IWES is dedicated to improving the mental, physical, and spiritual health and quality of life for woman, their families and communities of color, particularly among marginalized populations using community-drive research, programs, training, and advocacy.
