Joyful Journeys
Joyful Journeys, established in 2024 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (pending) dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents in nursing homes who may not have the means to afford outings otherwise. Founded by Mary Hargadine, whose personal experience caring for her nonverbal, wheelchair-bound sister inspired the organization's mission, Joyful Journeys aims to bring smiles to nursing home residents through joyful experiences and meaningful connections. Our mission is to provide regular outings and activities that promote emotional well-being, social interaction, and community engagement among nursing home residents. We believe that every individual, regardless of their physical or financial limitations, deserves moments of joy and connection.
