We’re thrilled to extend a big congratulations to Bella for earning second place in a creative arts contest for local schoolchildren, hosted by Cattaraugus County Family Voice Advocacy. The contest, held during Mental Health Awareness Month, centered around the theme “It’s OK to not be OK.” Bella, who explores a variety of artistic mediums, created a powerful color-pencil drawing using a fish-eye perspective. Her artwork depicts the brain as a maze, with figures at both ends and encouraging phrases like “keep going” and “trust the process” guiding the way. “It can be confusing and sometimes you don’t know if there’s a way out, but you can get through it,” Bella shared. Join us Tuesday at DD Day at the Niagara Falls Convention Center, including at the Pop Up Art Gallery, where the Intandem Creative Arts Department will once again showcase the remarkable work of our artists. Following the gallery's specific vision, the exhibition will showcase art created by Intandem program artists from both Cattaraugus and Niagara Counties.
