TO PROVIDE A MUSEUM AND VISITOR CENTER TO PRESERVE, PROTECT AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT A 19TH-CENTURY CALIFORNIA RANCHO THAT IS NOW A NATIONAL HISTORIC LANDMARK, AND ITS NATIVE AMERICAN, SPANISH AND CALIFORNIO HERITAGE. THE RANCH WAS THE INSPIRATION FOR HELEN HUNT JACKSON'S INFLUENTIAL 1884 NOVEL, "RAMONA."

RANCHO CAMULOS MUSEUM A National Historic Landmark that brings alive the romance and history of Spanish California The Rancho Camulos is a 40 acre National Historic Landmark situated within an 1800 acre working ranch known as the Camulos Ranch Company. The ranch is bounded by low hills on the north Piru Creek to the west the Santa Clara River and the Oak Ridge Mountains to the south and the Newhall Ranch to the east. Tours Events Guided public tours of the grounds and adobe buildings are offered Sundays from 1 p. m.
