San Leandro Historical Railway Society Our Mission is to The SLHRS has accomplished these missions by moving the San Leandro Depot from its original location alongside the Southern Pacific now Union Pacific tracks and restoring it inside and out. A small but impressive railroad museum is located inside the depot. The society has built two model railroad displays that entertain the public through Saturday visiting hours and train shows. We serve the community by giving railroad safety lectures to 6th graders in the San Leandro public schools.
